Description | Some SHA 256 checksums are published on the web pages with spaces within the SHA256 string. When copying and pasting such published checksum one has to remove the spaces for the proper verification. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | download https://sourceforge.net/projects/keepass/?source=typ_redirect copy SHA256 checksum from: http://keepass.info/integrity.html Files - Verify checksum... Select SH 256 Paste published checksum Verification failed Workaround: paste published long checksum to text editor remove spaces copy and paste into the verification dialog Verification succeeds | ||||
Additional Information | *Ideally* the dialog should: 1. (deleted) 2. have the text field for pasting input 3. have the label field with cleaned up string from [step 2] 4. have the algorithm select field where cursor is positioned on the suggested method based on the string length (from step 3) 5. has the label field from the file calculation 6. Show the matching icon At step 3 - clean up just removes all potential whitespaces All in 1 dialog. | ||||
