You don't need to restart the search each time, just reopen the window and go directly to the Results tab.

As for exporting the results, you can 'Feed to listbox', select all, use either 'Save Selection to File' or 'Copy Filenames(s) to Clipboard' or 'Copy Filenames(s) with Full Path', all of them are in the Mark menu.

Does this fulfill all your needs?

Ok, it worked. But this is not obvious for regular users. I suggest not to close the window. And why does my search stop when I press 'Go to file' or 'Feed to listbox' button?

I agree that it should be possible not to stop/close the search. Although I'm not sure whether this should be implemented as an option, like a checkbox on the results tab, or as a full behavior change.

I think it should be implemented as full behavior change unless someone brings valid arguments for stopping/closing.

I believe the main reason for stopping it is the fact that otherwise the search may run in the background unnoticed and wear out the drive while the user has already found his file and forgot about the search.
In my opinion the best solution would be to not stop the search, but add an indicator that it is still running in the background. Probably a button on the file operations panel.
