| Summary | 0002054: Multi Rename Tool not working for "repeating" filenames | ||||
| Description | If I have 3 files: 1.txt 2.txt 3.txt and I want to rename them to 2.txt 3.txt 4.txt by using multi rename tool with `[C]` as filename and starting the counter at 2. I get the message/question that `2.txt` is going to be overwritten with `1.txt` I suspect this is due to the tool just progressing from top to bottom, and if any of the "new" names is in use by an "old" file, there is a conflict. I see this as severe, since it could lead to data loss, if somebody just answers "Yes" to the overwrite question. Also, renumbering files is a standard use-case for the multi rename tool. | ||||
