| Summary | 0002309: Path changing is fails due to absent permissions | ||||
| Description | DC refuses to change the target drive, because the recent path for target drive is not accessible due to lack of permissions. For example, when trying to change the target drive to "C:" DC refuses changing the target drive with next the message "Change current directory to 'C:\Users\Administrator' failed!". I think that the correct behavior is switching to the target drive by trimming target path up to the root, until the next top level path will be accessible. For example DC could open path "C:\Users" instead of "C:\Users\Administrator". | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) Start DC with Administrator permissions. 2) Open on left file panel directory (C:\Users\Administrator) which is not accessible by ordinary users. 3) Close DC. 4) Open DC 5) Change the target drive (D: or E:)for the left panel. 6) Try to return to previous drive (C:) ... The refusal dialogue will be shown! | ||||

In step 6) reporter probably used "back", because click to C: would be different. I don't think this should be fixed. Message is correct and we can click C:. |

Root mode is mostly done. Just change directory that won't offer to elevate on fail. |
