Summary | 0000193: Root mode
Description | When Total Commander (Windows7) fails with Copy/Move/Delete/etc. it shows dialog with several options like "try again", "skip", "as administrator", ... It wound be nice to have this "try again with administrator privileges" in Double Commander (Linux) too. (otherwise user must start something like "gksudo doublecmd", set both sides' directories again and fire the operation second time and then close the second instance of Double Commander and continue with the first...) The dialog would show up when file/directory operation fails due to privileges reason (like Copy, Move, Symlink, Delete, Edit symlink, Create directory, etc.) It would be useful not only with file/dir operations but also in internal editor when saving the file fails (due to insufficient privileges). "Administrator access" in all cases should be probably treated differently on su- and sudo- systems. E.g. in Fedora systems, temporary switch to root account should be used, while in Ubuntu and others something similar to gksudo effect for particular operation should be used
