| Description | For file operations in some directories (e.g. "C:\ProgramFiles") you need admin rights under Vista. The native explorer asks for this. Is it possible to ask for this rights, too and do these operations with admin rights? Note: It's possible to disable this restriction generally in Vista, but the best is to support asking the rights on demand (if necessary). | ||||

If we try to copy to or delete in "C:\Program files", DC gives error message with option buttons "Retry, Skip, Skip All, Abort". Windows Explorer gives info message "You'll need to provide administrator permission to move this file" or "You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this file" with option button "Continue" and check option "Do this for all current items (X found)". Somewhat related, if we try to make a folder without rights, DC says "Cannot create directory.." with "OK", while Windows Explorer says "Destination Folder Access Denied" and "You need permission to perform this action" with option buttons "Try again" and "Cancel". |
