Yes - I totally agree that SSH support would be essential. E.g. other Linux filemanagers do support it - https://www.slant.co/topics/1955/~twin-panel-file-managers-for-linux - also editing files over SSH would be also very much essential.

DC supports ssh under Linux. Simply type needed address in the DC path bar (like sftp://192.168.0.1). |

The support is very poor even in Linux - when I try to connect to sftp address using directory hotlist then it says "Cache invalid, retry (internally handled)" and does not connect. Yes - when I manually type the sftp address and press Enter then it connects but it is very uncomfortable to do it manually - I would like to have bookmark of remote connections with stored credentials if needed. I am using keyfile-based authentication - this should be also possible to choose or work transparently like currently. Also getting error message "The name :1.597 was not provided by any .service files" and cannot access the sftp folder even I mounted it in another program. Also "unmount" option did not appear under mouse right click menu of that. Could not understand whether I can change that mount bar items (e.g. create like bookmark of network shares) - it looks like mounted shares are appearing automatically there. Using 64-bit Linux Mint 18 with MATE desktop environment and kernel 4.7.4.

Works fine for me. |

Would propose to have similar site manager like e.g. FileZilla has. Currently is very uncomfortable handle different remote connections and folders. And still it does not work properly as I described. Probably for you but we should also perhaps look the system where it works and others where it not working. |
