Summary | 0002068: Text in the tab title does not change after swapping panels
Description | When panels are swapped (with Ctrl-U or via Menu), address in the address bar changes properly but text in the tab title remains intact. See attached screenshots (from a first run of unpacked application, no settings modification). No dataloss but very confusing.
Steps To Reproduce | Go to the directories with different names in the left and right panels. Look at the tab titles. Swap panels. Look at the tab titles again.
Additional Information | I noticed this behaviour when I now tried to upgrade (after a very long time) from 0.6.6 to 0.8.2. 0.6.6 works fine as is to expect (text in the tab title changes). So I ran quickly through older versions and found that this behaviour occurs from 0.7.0. onwards; FMPOV it looks like a regression between 0.6.6 and 0.7.0. – but I am very suprised: nobody else noticed that??? No dataloss but remarkably confusing (I am accustomed to orient according to tab titles, so an update blocker for me, but 0.6.6 works fine :)) 0.9.0.r8146 shows this bug, too. Eventually, if it helps someone to comment – I understand Russian, I only lack russian keyboard to write.

Confirming the same behaviour/bug on Linux – Devuan 2.0 ASCII (x64) with version 0.7.7. Version 0.5.4 on Debian Wheezy works fine. |
|
Version 0.8.3 - rev. 8160M works as it is to expect. (Tested on Win XP only.) Seems to be fixed. Thanks a lot for the very prompt response. Just for the record, in version 0.9.0 alpha rev. 8160 from the snapshots (doublecmd-0.9.0.r8160.i386-win32) the problem persists (Win XP). |
|
Just to add: on Linux, both gtk and qt versions of rev. 8160 work fine – fixed. (Windows snapshot revision 8183 still with a bug – but it is not so important, it is alpha, of course.) |
