Summary0002075: Directory Hotlist import from TC not working
DescriptionWhen trying to import directories from TC (wincmd.ini), I get message "Cannot find reference to default bar file".

I set correct path to executable and ini file. Yet, no way to make it work. Also I'm not sure, what is has to do with bar file.

Steps To Reproduce1) Set correct TC paths.
2) Try import directory holist from wincmd.ini.
3) Error message will be displayed => nothing imported.

It's not bug: DC uses options from "Configurations > Options > Miscellaneous > Regarding TC export/import" for Directory Hotlist AND Toolbar.

See your wincmd.ini: section [ButtonBar] > Buttonbar. It's your default buttonbar, get absolute path (without trailing "\") and write it.

Hello,

thank you for you answer, but I disagree about it not beeing a bug. I have normal TC running without any problem. I want to use DC's feature, but error is there, talking about something totally different. So from user point it's really strange. Buttonbar is also another section in ini file, so I really don't understand, why it's needed to import directories. But here is mentioned section of wincmd.ini:

[Buttonbar]
Buttonheight=29
FlatIcons=1
SmallIcons=1
SmallIconSize=16
XPstyle=1
IconDll_vertical.bar=TCNewLib1
DefaultLib=wcmicon2
IconDll_default.bar=TCNewLib1

Hi,

DC can import toolbar buttons from button bar of TC too. All three options are associated with importing/exporting from/to TC, but you didn't set all.

>> But here is mentioned seciont of wincmd.ini:
Use TC path.

Alexx2000,

maybe DC will fill this field himself, automatically? Path from field "TC executable" is good solution.

Hi,

I'm sorry, but I'm still missing something? I attached my current settings. But I really don't know what more should I do.

Sorry, maybe I'm bad explaining.
You can see message "Cannot find reference to default bar file" in only two cases: if the field "Toolbar output path" is clean or the path from this field doesn't exist.

>> I attached my current settings.
Is import working fine now? This should work, because all this three parameters should be set.

Hi,

I had this setting all along, so no, it's not working :(. And as you can see, that path is the same as path for wincmd.ini, so it does exist. I've also tried "C:\Temp" for Toolbar output path (to avoid some right accees problem), but still no luck.

And also message is taling about reference to default bar "file". So I guess it is trying to determine path of DEFAULT.bar (not exactly sure why in this scenario)? Or the message is really misleading.

This error is not related to "Toolbar output path" (I guess this path used for export toolbar only).

Import function broken when DEFAULT.bar used.

>>maybe DC will fill this field himself, automatically?

I think DC can do it if path is empty.
