Also it would help to have option to disable "SPACE" input in filter filed. Or just optionally what SPACE should do in such occastion: Nothing, Act like Marker, Write SPACE, ... |

Cannot reproduce neither on Windows XP (32 bit) nor on Linux / Debian Wheezy (doublecmd-qt 32 bit). After applying a filter, file selection with INSERT is perfectly possible. [Maybe a hint – it is necessary to really leave filter (sub)window and enter list (sub)window, either by tab or by clicking with the mouse, do not be confused with a fact that even when staying in the filter window it is possible to move a cursor on files.] |

OK, so simply said, when I filter files, then I can move with arrows, but I CAN'T use INSERT. Hmmm. I can use it, when I click on file with mouse, or use TAB (just once) instead. For me it's still bug. Hint is working, but it has no logic from user point of view. It's just non-intuitive. Simply said, I can move arrow, then I should be able to select files simply with INSERT ala WYSIWYG. Also TC can do it simply by INSERT while filter is active. So it's confusing for users after migration. So if you guys choose it to be feature and correct, even when I disagree, I suggest to add an option to choose what kind of behavior filter should use in this case. To make it useful for everyone. |

Also DELETE won't work. And SHIFT+DELETE act as BACKPSACE. It would be really beneficial, if it will act as action on file under the cursor rather then this way it is now. |

For DELETE open another bug, classified as a feature, probably - TC doesn't support that too. It could be Ctrl+Delete and Ctrl+Shift+Delete as equivalents for Delete and Shift+Delete without focused filter entry field. Update: Actually, no need in another bug, it's already possible today: just configure it in Hot keys in Options, cm_Delete command, check Quick Search when adding a hotkey. FYI: Currently supported navigation keys in quick search/filter mode are: Up/Down arrows, Ctrl+Home, Ctrl+End, each of them can be combined with Shift to select along with the move, and now also Insert. Shift + Down Arrow is essentially equal to Insert. |
