Summary0002116: The STFP plugin reproducably crashes
DescriptionWhile I was investigating whether DC could be a decent replacement for Total Commander, I found out that it, in fact, is not because one of the most important functionalities, the SFTP support, is broken.

Although I can generally "use" it with DC (and I can even import my existing sftpplug.ini), Total Commander's SFTP plug-in crashes a lot, especially after trying to use it the first time. I attach the crash log as DC told me so.
Steps To Reproduce1. Install Total Commander's SFTP plugin.

2. Try to use it.

3. Fail hilariously.

It crashed three times. The third one was so bad that it exited DC. The differences were:

1) Between 1. and 2., I moved DC from OneDrive to Dropbox.
2) Between 2. and 3., I moved the SFTP plugin from TotalCmd's into DC's plugin directory.

DC has built in SFTP support via standard FTP plugin. You can try it.

1. Crash after install is not related to SFTP, it occurs with any plugin (will be fixed).

2,3. Did you change plugin configuration (via DC options dialog) between this?

Ah, I had not found the standard SFTP entry, sorry!

edit:

> You can try it.

I did. It does not seem to have key-pair authentification. I don't have a "password" on some of my servers, only OpenSSL keys...

re:changes: No, I only added a few connections.

Current development version (DC 0.9) already supports key-pair authentication.

I fixed crash after install. But I cannot reproduce other crashes.

You can test latest development version from snapshots page.

Thank you, the new feature makes this ticket irrelevant - I don't need the plugin anymore. :-)
