Same behavior. It is OS specific; on the Windows the first letter is NOT selected by default. |

I do not get the same behavior on macOS 10.14.5 using cocoa 64bit v1.0.0 r9009, can you please download latest version and try to reproduce? |

Problem with doublecmd-0.9.6-9018.cocoa.x86_64.zip, doublecmd-0.9.6-9018.qt.x86_64.dmg works fine. MacOs 10.15 |

It is a Lazarus bug. Fixed in latest Lazarus trunk. Will be work in DC 0.9.7. |

I'm still noticing the issue in 0.9.7 beta cocoa in Mac OS X 10.14, Qt version is fine as before. Double Commander Version: 0.9.7 beta Revision: 9235 Build date: 2020/01/08 Lazarus: 2.1.0.0-62510 FPC: 3.0.4 Platform: x86_64-Darwin-cocoa OS version: Mac OS X 10.14.6 |

ghostofperdition: switch to the latest v1.0.0 version in snapshots, there's too many bugs in DC to bother going back to so far in revisions to check. |

Really it is a Lazarus bugs in Cocoa interface support. Probably is better to put off Cocoa version and wait while Lazarus fixes bugs. |

kandrey89: thanks, I can confirm that v1.0.0 alpha from snapshots fixes this issue, will use the 0.9.7 Qt version for now. Is there really any reason to prefer the Cocoa version? |
