DescriptionWould it be possible to add a coloured border around the active/selected button on confirmation panels? Currently there is no indication which button is selected, as such actions cannot be selected with the keyboard. Example attached.
thanks

this problem is related to your gtk2 theme (caja is a gtk3 application).
try using a different theme that supports highlighting active widgets with gtk2

I'm afraid I don't know what that means. I use Mint-X theme, which I think is the default theme on Mint. If the problem is with the theme, shouldn't all Linux Mint users experience the same issue?
And why would the main Mint theme not support highlighting active widgets?
Also, I wouldn't know if a theme is gtk2 or gtk3. To a noob like me, your reply ("your gtk2 theme") suggests that i have a gtk2 theme for gtk2 applications, and a gtk3 theme for gtk3 applications. I'm not aware of having both a gtk2 theme and a gtk3 theme, I just have Mint-X theme. I'm confused here. Do you have some pointers?

>shouldn't all Linux Mint users experience the same issue?
probably, but since gtk2 is a legacy toolkit and it gradually goes down in history, some maintainers dont particularly care about gtk2 support.

here is another example regarding issues with theme in linux mint https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5874

i recommend simply install differnt theme, for example greybird, which does not have similar issues with gtk2 applications. https://i.imgur.com/wgY8Oia.png

Thank you, that was helpful. I managed to identify the relevant code from Greybird and paste it into Mint-X. It will need to fine tuning, but at least now I have a dotted line inside the active button, which is quite an improvement.
Thanks for your input!
