Если форма будет не модальной, то смысла кнопку убирать нет. |

I like the 'minimize' button for options, however it doesn't work correctly on my W7 :( |

Minimize button on modal windows could be used to minimize the window together with the parent window. Otherwise there is no way to minimize application when modal window is displayed. But in applications I checked on Windows, modal dialogs usually have only close button. In Lazarus bsDialog windows behave this way, but they can't be resized. Anyway, on Windows minimizing modal window doesn't work because it only minimizes the modal window and the parent window stays on top, unresponsive. I didn't check on Linux. |

Yes, you are true if you are speaking about modal dialog, but I like the idea of options with modeless dialog, much like the search dialog for example. Thats why you have the "apply" button. |

I agree that options can be non modal (this allows to check how applied settings are working without closing Options) but if form in not modal than it should have minimize button and it should minimize to taskbar not to left bottom corner of desktop like it is now |

Модальная форма настроек (т.е пока не закроем форму настроек с основной формой работать нельзя): TC, FreeCommander, SpeedCommander, UnrealCommander Не модальная форма настроек: Opus Мне больше нравится идея работы Opus, я бы делал и форму настроек DC такой же, но это только относится к форме настроек |

So, disable modality and leave the minimize button? |

I think it is most right solution. Make it non-modal (with all title buttons) and show at taskbar. Also we can make same thing with file association dialog. |
